This English version is provided for convenience only. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
1Who processes your data
We are the data controller. We do not have a data protection officer: for any question about your data, write to solar@solarsmile.es.
2What data we collect
Only what you give us when you fill in a form or write to us, and browsing data from the website itself:
- From the forms: name, phone number, email address and the address of the home or premises, plus whatever you tell us in your message and, if you use it, the data you enter in the calculator (floor area, consumption, type of installation).
- From the website: browsing data through Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
- If you write to us on WhatsApp or by email: the data that appears in your message.
The address is required because we use it to check whether the property is within our service area before offering you a visit. We do not ask for special category data (health, beliefs, etc.) and we would be grateful if you did not include it in your message.
3What we use it for and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry, preparing an estimated quote and arranging the site visit. | Your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and the taking of steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. |
| Checking that the address is within our service area. | The same request: without this step we cannot tell you whether we can help you. |
| Managing the installation and its paperwork, if you become a customer. | Performance of the contract and our legal obligations (tax, technical and registration requirements). |
| Understanding how the website is used and improving it. | Your consent in the cookie notice. You can refuse it with no consequences. |
We do not send advertising unless you expressly ask us to, and we do not pass on or sell your data to third parties so they can offer you anything.
4How long we keep it
For as long as your request remains open and, after that, for as long as necessary to deal with any possible claims. If you become a customer, the data relating to the installation and its invoicing is kept for the periods required by tax and technical regulations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time; we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
5Who else can see it
Only those we need in order to serve you. We work with providers who act as data processors and only process your data in accordance with our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Cloud / Firebase | Stores your request and runs our database. The servers we use are in the European Union. |
| Webnode AG | Hosts this website. |
| Google Ireland (Analytics and Maps) | Website usage statistics and checking the address you give us. |
| Resend | Sends us an email notification of each request you submit. |
We also provide data to public authorities, to electricity distribution companies or to our accountants and advisers when this is needed to process and register an installation, or when the law requires us to.
Some of these providers belong to groups headquartered in the United States. Where there is an international transfer, it is covered by the safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation (adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses).
6Your rights
Regarding your data, you can ask us, at any time and free of charge, for:
- Access: to know what data we hold about you.
- Rectification: to correct anything that is wrong.
- Erasure: to delete it.
- Objection and restriction: to stop using it, or to keep it but limit how we use it.
- Portability: to receive it in a structured, commonly used format you can take elsewhere.
- Withdrawal of your consent whenever you wish, without affecting anything done up to that point.
Write to solar@solarsmile.es saying what you would like. We will reply within one month at the latest. If you believe we have not handled it properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) (C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid).
7Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the website to work and cannot be switched off; analytics cookies are only activated if you say yes, and you can change your mind at any time from the same notice. Refusing them does not limit anything you can do here.
8Changes
If we change anything in this policy, we will publish it here with the date of the update. The version that applies is always the one you see on this page.
You can also read the legal notice, with the details of the website owner and the terms of use.
