Heat pump + solar

The combination that cuts a home’s bill the most

An aerothermal heat pump replaces the boiler and runs on electricity. Solar panels produce that electricity on your own roof. Together they change where your home’s energy comes from: heating, hot water and air conditioning stop depending on gas or oil.

Heat and hot water without burning anything

A heat pump takes most of the heat from the outside air and only uses the electricity it needs to move it. It covers heating, hot water and, with the right equipment, cooling in summer too.

The electricity, from your roof

With panels, much of that electricity is your own. The heat pump draws power during the day, which is exactly when the installation produces; what is left over is compensated on your bill.

And the energy certificate shows it

Changing the system and adding panels lowers the home’s non-renewable primary energy, which is what the certificate measures. If it falls by 30 %, or the home reaches letter A or B, the work may qualify for the 40 % income-tax deduction; if heating and cooling demand falls by 7 %, for the 20 % one.

Your heating and hot water are not electric, so the certificate has almost nowhere to subtract what the panels produce. Try switching on the aerothermal option.

Official conversion factors (RITE 2016); demands, efficiencies and solar production are typical values; the letter scale is a reference one (IDAE, single-family home) and the real one depends on your municipality and type of home.
